Biography
I have been a mainstage performer with Central City Opera, Chamber opera Chicago, and Vox Opera. I am currently performing with the Lyric Opera of Chicago, in the chorus for Carmen and Lohengrin, and covering a role in Lohengrin. I have done YAPs with Central City Opera, Sarasota Opera, the Natchez Festival of Music and Florentine Opera. I'm a low Mezzo/ Contralto who enjoys singing Baroque, Modern, and Russian music, especially. I have 3 positive reviews in Opera News, in the October 2006 and 2007 editions for my work with Central City Opera in The Saint of Bleecker Street, The Ballad of Baby Doe, and The Coronation of Poppea.
I am also a passionate voice teacher, currently servicing the Southwest suburbs of Chicago, I am a teacher with Naperville Music Academy, www.takelessons.com, J and B Music Studio in Crest Hill, and Bristol Grove Music in Plainfield. I received my Master's Degree in Vocal Pedagogy (teaching private voice) and Vocal Performance from the Chicago College of Performing Arts (Roosevelt University).
